INTEGRATED LISTENING SYSTEMS (ILS)
ILS serves as a neurodevelopmental primer for establishing a resilient sensory and regulatory system with a managed listening program. iLs scaffolds the ability of the nervous system to move from calm to focused to increased performance and back again affecting the self-regulation needed for cognitive and motor learning. ILS participants process mostly classical music with movement and visual exercises to modulate physiological arousal levels. Sessions use specialized headphones delivering sound via both air and bone conduction, while individuals engage in balance, coordination, and visual tasks. These combined sensory activities lay the groundwork for subsequent cognitive, motor, and communicative development.

Expressive communication for non-and unreliable speakers (Spelling and other AAC fluidity) relies on progress in these areas. Confidence and comfort with self-motivation ensue. Creative embodiment (rhythm, movement) helps bring together the body, brain, and sensory system so individuals can access their full potential with ease and joy.
